Thanksgiving

Britton's gingerbread men. He worked the longest on his
Benjamin's gingerbread men. I put the icing on for him but he did all the decorating

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We went to my mom's house for dinner and enjoyed a delicious 25 lb. turkey and everything great that goes with it. We also watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the kids decorated gingerbread cookies. It was great. We have so much to be thankful for this year. We have great kids, are expecting another little boy, we're healthy and Dustin has a job.

After dinner we brought our niece and nephew home with us to spend the night so we could go Black Friday shopping. It is great to have a niece that is old enough to baby sit! Dustin and I went to Walmart where we saw some serious insanity. We didn't need any big door buster items but we did manage to get a few things. Next we went to Shopko, where it was nice and organized. We got quite a few things there. We went home and got a few hours of sleep before we headed out for the early morning sales. We split up and both did pretty well. When we got home we decorated the house for Christmas and I finished up the night by wrapping some presents. I love this time of year!

Today we did some serious house cleaning and other errands. We tried to buy a fresh Christmas tree from Costco, but they didn't have them yet. It was nice to just hang out as a family though. We're looking forward to all the fun things there are to do this time of year, and we're especially looking forward to our vacation to California. We have a lot to look forward to.
