This and That

So I just have to brag about my husband for a minute. Dustin emailed me to ask if i wanted to go on a date on Friday. He said he would be in charge of what to do if I could get the baby sitter. Well, when he came home he had tickets to "Rain- a tribute to the Beatles." Anyone who knew me in high school knows that I was seriously obsessed with the Beatles and I still love their music today. I had seen commercials for the concert a while back and said I would like to see it. Apparently Britton had seen a commercial with Dustin and told Dustin that I would really like to go to the concert too. Dustin is convinced that I have brainwashed our kids to like the Beatles too. I haven't. No brainwashing needed, of course they like their music! All they had to do was hear it! Anyway, Dustin came home from work and had tickets for the show! I was so surprised. We had just purchased tickets for Les Miserables so i didn't think he would spend money on tickets for Rain. Well, it turns out he didn't! He knew I wanted to see the show and won tickets on the radio! How cool is that? The concert was really good. The guys that play the Beatles sounded great and even stood and looked like the Beatles.

On top of going to the concert, we also went to dinner at Barbacoa. If you've never been there, I highly recommend it. It's a really cool place and the food is great. Plus, there wasn't a child in the place. It's really not a place for kids. If you ever go, check out the bathrooms because even they are cool. To add to the greatness of the date, we had a gift card to Barbacoa that we've been holding onto for about 2 years. Our whole date seriously cost us $10.00 because we got ice cream and a soda after the concert.

For Christmas Dustin got me a patio Fire pit. It was finally warm enough to break it out so Saturday we cooked foil dinners (Salmon) and afterwards let the boys roast marshmallows. They loved it!
A few weeks ago Dustin started playing indoor soccer. I finally remembered to bring the camera. Unfortunately none of the pictures were that great because I had to take them behind plexi glass, but this was my favorite because he was Heading the ball. His team wears a purple uniform, so he's the one in purple. It's been a lot of fun.

I always take a picture of the first daffodils of the year. These bloomed about a week ago, but I finally got around to taking a picture. Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers.
