Memorial Day Camping!

We got to go camping for Memorial Day and went to Ponderosa State Park.  We love Ponderosa. They have great campgrounds.  This was our first campout of the year, which is pretty late for us.  We were all really excited to go and had a great time together as a family.  We got in around 6:00 and set up camp. Then we started a fire and made 'smores.  The boys were so excited about the 'smores.

Not only was this Caden's first time camping, it was also his first time sleeping in a play pen.  Crazy, right?  He did great!  He slept as well as he does at home and really loved being outdoors.  On Saturday we woke up and went into McCall for breakfast at the Pancake House. We love that place!  Seriously, how can you go wrong with plate size cinnamon rolls?  Then we hit a couple of garage sales because Caden fell asleep and it was better to just keep driving. We got some awesome deals on some scooters for our child care center.  Later we took the kids geocaching.  That night we didn't feel much like making a fire (well, Dustin and I didn't) so we stayed in and played card games with the boys.  Benjamin became a pro at Go Fish and Britton has a new love of Racko.  We also completed Britton's first bead requirement for cub scouts.

Sunday was a little wet but not bad.  We did some more geocaching and charged up Britton's remote controlled  boat and took it down to the lake.  It was a big hit. When we got back to camp the kids made friends with the neighbors and spent the evening playing with them.

Monday morning was sunny and nice. We headed back into town for another visit to the Pancake House and then packed up and headed home.  Caden even slept through the whole drive. We finished up the night with a visit to our favorite shaved ice place.
