Date with Britton

Tonight was Britton's date night. We were going to go ice skating but last minute we decided to take him to the Humain Society to choose our newest family member.  When we first got there they didn't have any kittens but when we asked about it they said they were just getting ready to bring some out.  Then they brought out two super cute kitties.  One was grey and one was white and black.  They were so cute!  We liked them both and then they told us they actually had another litter that had been hiding.  Britton decided he wanted one of the black kitties. They were really young and quite a bit smaller than the others. They were also really shy.  The black and white kitty that we saw first was super playful and friendly. It was also a little bigger. Britton decided that it would probably be better for our family.

We brought him home and the other boys were so excited!  The poor kitten played and played all night.  He's exhausted now.  The dogs don't seem to bother him at all.  The dogs were pretty happy to see the cat but the cat was pretty chill about it.  In fact, the cat loves Kia.  He keeps trying to cuddle with her.  Our other cat, Con, on the other hand, wasn't nearly as impressed.  He's not feeling very happy right now.  We're hoping he'll get on board soon.  Britton also got to go to Golden Corral for dinner, which is his favorite place.  He was bummed we didn't have time to go ice skating but we've decided we'll take the boys on Monday.

Visiting the Humane Society was a good experience.  It took us about two hours but it was worth it.  We haven't chosen a name yet.  I want to name the cat Handel and Britton wants to name him Chevy.  I'll update when the name is final.
