We can't believe summer is about over. Britton starts preschool and soccer soon. The summer just flew by! Our nephew Taylor came to stay with us for a week and we took him camping with us. Britton and Benjamin loved having Taylor around. We went for a hike and Britton discovered huckleberries. He thought it was so cool that he could pick berries off of the bushes in the forest and eat them! We also met some friends at the beach at the lake and the boys swam and Taylor burried them in the sand. It was so fun! We took Taylor back to Utah with us when we went to the Allan Family Reunion (Dustin's mom's side of the family). We all had a great time at the pool. Britton did lots of bobs (putting his head under the water) and so did Benjamin (not on purpose). They both loved the water and played all day. On our visit to Utah we also went to the Lagoon with Britton. He really liked the bumper cars and the little kids section. He even rode a roller coaster and a family water ride too. He wasn't ready for the bigger rides yet. He really didn't like the tilt-a-whirl! He made it very clear that he wanted off! Dustin enjoyed riding the "good" rides with our nephews, Taylor and Ethan, and I discovered I can't handle rides like I used to. I went on two rides with our nephews and my head was spinning! I tried one last ride at the end of the day (Wicked-appropriately named by the way) and when I got off my head was pounding! It felt like my brain was just rattling around inside my head. It was a cool ride though. It was worth the pain, but only once. It was nice to see all of our family and it was great to see Dustin's parents who just came home from their mission. It was a good ending to our summer before we have to get back to reality. We do get to have one last summer fun activity to look forward to with our vacation coming up in September. We're all really looking forward to that as well.
