Counting Our Blessings!

Last night we went to the "Hymns of Thanksgiving," which is a free concert of Thankgsiving songs. It's a really good concert and they always have new songs. This year they had one called "Count your Blessings Instead of Sheep," by Iving Berlin. I really like the words (althought the tune wasn't my favorite). So Here's the song:

When I'm worried and I can't sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep.
And I fall asleep counting my blessing.
And when my bankroll is getting small, I think of when I had none and all.
And I fall asleep counting my blessings.
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads.
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds.
So if you're worried and you can't sleep, just count your blessings instead of sheep.
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings.

As a person who worries a lot, I really liked the words to this one. Plus I love Thanksgiving and thinking of all the things we are blessed with. I'm so Thankful for my family. They are a great joy to me. I'm Thankful for our wonderful birthmothers and the sacrifices they made so that we could we could be a family. I'm Thankful for the health of my Dad, Kurt, and that he has been doing so well and has not had any recurrences of cancer. I'm Thankful for the health of all our family and the freedom we enjoy in this country. Happy Thanksgiving!

For the record, the song comes off of my FAVORITE Christmas movie, White Christmas. If you like it without the movie, you will love it when you see the scene. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. It's one you will want to buy!!
