Our Busy Saturday

Yesterday was a busy day. It started out with a 9:00 am soccer game for Britton in the freezing cold. Britton did great and scored 3 goals. He has improved so much this year and is so much fun to watch. We're really enjoying the soccer season.

After soccer we headed to the Kia Dealership to look at new cars. Dustin had met the owner of the dealership earlier in the week and had told him how disappointed we were with our minivan and the gas mileage it got. The owner gave Dustin his card and told him to contact the manager that he had written on the back and that he would give us the dealer cost on any car we wanted. We thought about it for a while and then made an appointment with the manager. So Saturday afternoon we loaded up the kids and headed to the car dealership. It may be crazy to take the kids with us, but it was nice to see how the car seats would fit in the cars we drove. The kids were really good too. We test drove three types of cars that we had researched and we decided after driving them that we liked the Kia Optima best.

In the mean time, Britton had a birthday party to go to so we took an hour break from the dealership to take him to the party. On the way back to the dealership, Benjamin fell asleep in the car and then slept on my shoulder why we signed paperwork for the new car. Then it was time to pick Britton up from the party so I left Dustin at the dealership and came home to get Britton. Finally, Dustin was able to come home with our new car, Britton was home and we were ready to play in the evening. We had some friends over to have dinner, play guitar hero, and watch a movie. It was a busy day, but it was fun. We love the new car. It may not have as much seating as our van, but it is very roomy and has a huge trunk. Neither Dustin or I have ever owned a car with a trunk! I actually have a place to put groceries. The car gets great gas mileage too, which is what we were looking for.

This is Benjamin saying his name. Too cute!
