Braddock Family Reunion

Britton on the water slide
Kia on the water slide (she followed Dustin up so he had to bring her down with him)
My step brother Eric with Kia
I don't know what he's doing, but he looks just like my Grandpa Jean!
Benjer fishing-nowhere near the water!
Kia and Buddy playing. Kia loved having another puppy to play with!
Cousin Christopher with Benjer at the Ghost town
Dustin and Benjamin at one of the old houses.
The boys hanging out in a 3 hole outhouse. Britton looks like he actually has to go!
All the kids (except Jenni who didn't want to join in) panning for gold
The boys comparing their little gold flakes they found panning for gold
Benjamin and Aunt Sandy
Benjamin and his gold flake
Uncle Ed is a very brave man to hold a leather stamp while Benjer hammers!
Seriously, Ed deserves an award!
Benjamin caught this fish all by himself. It was so cute!
Grandpa Bill helping Britton shoot a gun. I was nervous about Britton shooting but there was a good safety lesson before shooting, and strict obedience to the rules was enforced. An adult stayed with the kids at all times when they were handling a gun. Grandpa Bill is a retired police officer and he brought a whole arsenal of guns to shoot. The boys thought they were pretty cool.

Grandpa Bill helping Britton shoot a ridiculously large gun. I was glad when he was done with that one!
Benjamin watching Toy Story in the car with Grandma Pat during the shooting. He wasn't allowed out of the car.
Me shooting a .22. It's the only picture that was taken of me on our camera during our reunion so I thought I would include it...I took a couple shots and was done for the day.

I come from a very small extended family. I have a grand total of 1 aunt, 1 uncle and 2 cousins. Well, this week was our family reunion. It has been about 20 years since we have all been at a reunion together. We live all over the country (and one of my cousins in Turkey). My two brothers weren't able to make it, but the rest of the family met at a little ranch up by Salmon, Idaho. We had a great time. The ranch had a big water slide that the kids just loved. Well, actually, it took a lot of convincing and his cousin's example before Britton loved it, but once he got into it, he thought it was a hit. We did a lot of fishing, visited a ghost town, and let the boys shoot guns under expert supervision. It was great to see the family, stay up late talking, and eat great food.
