Family Party

Pucks weren't allowed on the ice so we used a soccer ball

We were lucky enough to attend the Allen Family Party on Dustin's side of the family over the weekend. The Allen's are Dustin's Maternal side of the family. We get together every year after Christmas, and then have a summer party as well. It's a great time filled with lots of cousins! We all love to attend. This year the 3 sisters (Dustin's mom and aunts) rented an awesome room where we had a private room inside and a little ice skating rink all to ourselves. It was great because we could watch our kids skate in the cold outside, while we talked and stayed warm inside. Our boys thought it was the best set up ever! Britton stayed on the ice the whole time, with a very small break to eat. Benjamin went onto the ice for about 5 minutes and then decided he would much rather play the wii that was set up inside. Benjamin spent the rest of the time being the bully of the wii.

The family party went great, with the exception of a few accidents. There was one good bump on the head, a sprained wrist and about 5 stitches in an upper lip. The stitches came about when Britton fell and hit a cousin in the face with a hockey stick. The head bump and the stitches were on brothers. It was a rough day for that family, but they took it well.

On Sunday we got to attend our youngest nephew's baby blessing. It was a very good blessing and he was so cute. Britton got to spend the whole weekend with cousins, including a sleepless sleepover. He was ready to come home, even if he didn't think so. It was a very fun weekend.
