Fathers and Sons camp out

The boys got to go on the Fathers and Sons camp out with church last weekend.  The weather all week had been yucky and we were a bit worried that it would rain but when it came time to leave the skies cleared.  The boys were sleeping in a tent so being the paranoid mom that I am I kept packing more blankets so they wouldn't freeze to death.  It turns out I had no reason to worry.  The boys stayed up until 11:30 playing with friends and then slept great.  They came home the next morning talking about all the fun they had.  Benjamin was all excited that he got to go on the camping trip with no girls, just boys.  They ate lots of junk food and overall had a great time.

While the boys were gone, I was plenty busy too.  While Britton was at school I painted an accent wall in his room.  My dad, Kurt, came over and did the trim for me because he is a great painter and does a way better job than I could have done. It looks great! We surprised Britton and put up a HUGE Vandal Fathead and now his room is all decked out in University of Idaho. He was so excited.  Benjamin is a terrible secret keeper and kept talking about his painted wall, but he didn't know about the Fathead so it was a surprise for everyone. While the boys were gone I took Caden and went shopping with my mom for Father's Day gifts. The next morning my mom, sister and I all met at Tami's Tea Cottage in Meridian for a delicious brunch to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was nice to have a girl's outing too (plus Caden of course).  I got home just after the boys were making it home from the camp out.
What is better than climbing a big tree?

 Britton played football all night
One of the dad's made a rope swing and Benjamin and his friends loved it!

What memories! I bet Britton loved his room!
