Memorial Day Camping

For Memorial weekend we headed into the woods for a fun-filled family camping trip. we went to Lake Cascade and had a great time. We ate yummy dutch oven food, ate smores, the boys made new friends, we fished, geocached and the boys rode their bikes and scooters all over camp. We didn't catch any fish, but we did catch one hand (Britton's) and one eye lid (mine). Our only other injury was Benjamin falling out of the trailer onto his head. He had a little bump, but he wasn't really bothered by it. He's a tough kid. Britton got to use his new fishing pole and is an excellent caster! We're proud of him. Benjamin liked holding onto his pole but lost interest pretty quickly. Then he just wanted to rifle through the tackle box and pull out all the bobbers. It was a very relaxing camping trip and we all had a good time. We look forward to a lot more camp outs this summer.

A big thumbs up for a good cast.
Britton's funniest one liner on fishing: "So much for power bate. It's not even that powerful!"

Me in my new lounge chair-totally lazy but really comfy!

Benjamin and his new girlfriend comparing Popsicles

Britton and Benjamin sharing Popsicles with their new girlfriends (but girls are yucky according to Britton)
Britton's funniest One liner about girls: He had gone into the trailer and come out with his hair wet and all spiked up. I said "Britton, you look stylin'. Britton said, "Yeah, I did it because I'm going to go over and talk to her" (meaning the girl in the picture). Too funny.
Benjer in the puddle after the rain. Nothing was more fun than splashing in the puddle.

Britton riding through the camp. He loves riding through the puddles the best.

The boys finding a geocache. They thought finding treasures was great. Britton was able to trade for a Lego watch and Benjamin traded for a ball.

I just tried out those same chairs at a friends house. They are amazing! Britton is pretty funny. I don't think Spencer thinks that way about girls yet. Thank Goodness.
