Hockey, Football, and Floors, Oh my!

One of the falls that didn't hurt

They all have to wear big mouth guards. Britton's doesn't fit.

What am I supposed to be doing?

Ready

It was so cold! Benjamin chilled in a pile of blankets

The kitchen. The hardest part to install

The dining room.

We had a very busy weekend. It started off Friday night with Britton's hockey practice. This was his first official hockey class and he was excited because he got to use his stick. He is very good at hockey and really loves it. He had two really hard falls on his head during the class and they hurt a lot but he got back in and kept going. Thank goodness for the helmet! We told him if he was going to fall, to try to fall forward. It's much worse to fall backwards. He doesn't mind falling forward. In fact, he kind of likes it. Britton has great hockey coaches and they played cute games with the kids. It was a lot of fun.

Saturday morning, bright and early we had Britton's first football game. So far, Football isn't his sport and unfortunately, we don't know enough about the game to help teach him. He had fun and did a lot of watching the other kids, but it was clear that he didn't know what he was doing. He has a good coach and each kid got a chance to have the ball passed to him, pass it to another kid, and be the one to hike the ball. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of when Britton actually had the ball... It was cute to watch and there were some really good kids on both teams. Britton's one of the youngest on his team. We're sure he'll get better with practice. Either way, he had fun and listened to the coach, and that's all that matters.

And lastly, Dustin and Kurt installed our kitchen and dining room floors. It looks awesome! It was a grueling day for the men. They are both very sore. They still have the trim to finish but even without it done, the floors look great! I'm proud of the guys. It was a hard job and they worked until 9:00 at night to finish. I wish the pictures did the floors justice, but they just don't. They floors are exactly what I've always wanted.
