This was an exciting weekend. We started off with Britton having a friend sleep over for the first time and in the morning Britton lost his second tooth. He's pretty proud of his gaps. Then we spend the day loading up the trailer for our first camping trip of the year! It was so nice to get away. We went to Given's Hot Springs, which is only about an hour away. In no time, Britton made friends with all the kids in the neighboring camps. We took his fire truck powerwheel and that is always a good time. Britton took turns giving rides and letting the other kids drive. He can be so sharing when he wants to. Benjamin even got in on a little driving action. After that he didn't want to be a passenger anymore....

Saturday was nice and warm. We went swimming twice at the hot springs and hung out and watched the kids play. Benjamin loves the water and is very brave. He likes his water wings and the freedom they give him. Britton got really brave this weekend and gave up his water wings. He is ready to swim. He can swim a little bit under water already. He was pretty proud of himself. We had to watch him like a hawk because he kept trying to go too deep. It's a good thing there are two of us to watch the kids. We each took on and kept their heads above water! The water was so warm and nice. Ahhh. Even with the active boys, the pool was relaxing. Unfortunately, the camera never made it to the pool, so there aren't any pictures of that.

Saturday night the weather changed and a storm blew in. At about 1:30 in the morning, we heard really strong wind and then we could hear other campers outside scrambling to put things away. Luckily, we didn't have anything out. Dustin went out and helped the person next to us who had left their awning out. It ripped in the wind and they were having trouble putting it away. We felt bad for them. The one good thing about waking up to the wind and cold was that we were all ready to come home. It was the perfect get away and start to our camping season. We're looking forward to many more camp outs this summer!
