2010 Dairy Days Parade!

Our awesome sign

Our niece, Jenni, volunteered to wear the cow costume!

We had the opportunity to be in the the Meridian Dairy Days Parade for our Families Supporting Adoption group. It was a blast! This year the weather was great (unlike last year when it rained). FSA bought t-shirts for everyone participating in the parade and we made a permanent sign for our float and bought professional banners for the truck. We figure if we're going to do it year after year, we might as well do it right. It was a lot of work this year, but it will make it a whole lot less work from now on.

The boys were great for the parade. They sat in their train cars and waved. Poor Benjamin has a sinus infection and coughed through the whole parade, but he was a real trooper. Britton saw 3 of his classmates and was able to wave to them from the parade. When the parade was all over, we were heading back to the cars when Britton's train car tipped over and he fell out. He has some pretty good road rash. Both of his elbows and knees got pretty scrapped up and his stomach has a little black pavement tracks. Poor kid. We weren't with him when he fell and he was trying to be as brave as he could but he broke down when he saw us. The poor driver of the train felt really bad and brought Britton some Double Stuff oreos and apologized. Britton was thrilled! He's still talking about how nice it was for him to come say sorry and bring him oreos. He finished the last one off today.
