I just have to brag about Britton for a minute because I caught him being SO sweet! Yesterday Britton came home from school and was upset because a friend had taken his wall ball and wouldn't give it back. The boy said that the ball was his Dad's. Britton tried to explain that he could show him that the ball was really his, but the boy wouldn't listen, or give him the ball.
Well, this morning when we went to the bus stop, all the kids were playing with Britton's ball. His sister had the ball so I asked her if her brother had brought the ball with him. She said that Britton had given him the ball. I told her what Britton had told me, and she called her brother over. (I'm one of only two parents that goes to the bus stop with their kids). He acted all surprised but admitted that it wasn't his ball and gave it back to Britton. The boy walked off and Britton followed him. I watched from a distance as Britton handed the ball to the boy that had taken it and said "You can have the ball for the whole day, and bring it back to me tomorrow." What a great kid! Instead of being mad at the kid for taking the ball and lying about it, he forgave him and let him play with the ball. Britton is such a great, sweet kid! Way to go Britton!
