Memorial Day Camping

For Memorial Day we took our first camping trip of the year and went to Sagehen Reservoir.  My mom and my step-dad came too. My mom says we have camped there before but it was when I was really little and I didn't remember it. It was a very pretty location and the camping spots were nice and spread out so it didn't seem like we really had any neighbors.  The road in was a little questionable with our big trailer, but it was worth it.  The weather really cooperated for us too, which was nice.  We got rain for just a little while on Saturday and  Sunday morning, but overall, we were able to play outside the whole weekend. We mostly fished, hiked, rode the 4 wheeler and hung out.  It was a perfect way to spend Memorial day weekend.
Britton wanted to fish every second of the day.  If he wasn't fishing, he wanted to ride the 4 wheeler.
Benjamin wore the helmet the whole time he fished, which wasn't very long.  He said he would rather go to bed.  It turns out he was sick and threw up on Sunday.  It didn't seem to keep him down though.
 Britton and Grandpa Kurt fishing.
Some of the boys on the 4 wheeler.  Caden LOVED the 4 wheeler as much as the other boys.
Caden was a whole bunch of trouble making baby on the camping trip.  He liked to drink the dog's water and eat rocks and dirt. In fact, at one point he had a shovel and was scooping up dirt and putting into his mouth.  My mom and I were just watching him because he had already eaten more dirt than it was worth trying to stop him. A car drove by and had their windows down and one lady turned to another in the car and exclaimed "That baby is eating dirt!"  She sounded pretty horrified about it. We just laughed.

This is my favorite Caden picture from camping. It's so him.

My favorite Benjer picture from camping. He's just a cute kid.
My favorite Britton picture from camping. He's a funny boy.
Kia and my mom's puppy Sadie.  Acey can't go camping anymore because she is too old. She nearly died on our last camping trip.  She stayed with my sister for the weekend.
All the boys on the 4 wheeler.  I'm impressed they all fit!
