We finally got some pictures in front of our tree! We had to take turns sitting with the kids for pictures, of course. The Christmas elf has been visiting us as well. The elf visits our house the 12 days before Christmas and leaves something for the boys to remind them of the true meaning of Christmas. Today the elf left the boys a "Friend" magazine and the "Little Drummer Boy" book and left a note that told them they would be in charge of Family Home Evening. Britton took charge (of course), and we sang Jingle Bells, Britton read the story from the Friend and then we all talked about the gifts we would give to Jesus during the next year. Britton said he would be nice to his family and say prayers. Benjamin didn't really give an answer but he had fun anyway. Afterward Britton said he wanted us to play marbles so we all played a fun game of marbles. Of course Britton won. Benjamin won one marble and was thrilled. It was very cute. Then we all had ice cream and called it a night. Britton was so proud of himself for taking charge of Family Home Evening. I can't wait to see what the Elf has the boys do tomorrow!
