Today was Dustin's birthday. We started out the morning by opening a couple gifts and then got ready for a car trip to Donnely for a sleigh ride to see the elk. It was amazing! The boys enjoyed the sleigh ride and likes seeing the elk up close. The sleigh's seats are made up of hay so the elk come right up to it and eat directly from your seat! Dustin had a couple that were eating away at his seat. Our niece Jenni had the best seat in the house though. She had a couple elk by her the whole time and they got right up close and personal with her. She even got sneezed on by one! Dustin had one touch noses with him too. Britton wasn't too excited about the elk getting so personal so he sat on my lap most of the time. Both boys were really good and were quiet and didn't scare the elk. We went with all my family in town, which included my mom and Kurt, my sister and her family and then us. It was definitely an experience to remember.
When we got home we finished opening presents and ate Dustin's traditional birthday Trifle. Then my my dad and Pat came over and watched all the kids while my sister and her husband and Dustin and I went to Red Lobster for dinner and pigged out on sea food. It was a good day.
